Flat orange painted Bentley wheels on a bagged Passat more your style? Image

This oddball shoe shaped car is a Volvo 480, and this rocks a full drivetrain conversion of FWD to RWD with a BMW transmission along with it’s E36 Motorsports wheels!

Image

BMW 5 series wheels suit this Toyota Chaser just right.

Image

BMW Style 5’s on this Triumph TR6 look good!

Image

Another showing by BMW, 7 series staggered 19 inchers filling the fenderwells of this Z33 Nissan:Image

An uncommon car in the stance scene, and it took a lot of work for this one to sit like it does with BMW X5 wheels on this Peugeot 406 coupe.

Image

BMW wheels are a fairly common swap on the Chevy S series trucks, and these M Parallels look pretty good on this lowered example. Image

C4 Corvette wheels on an MK5 Jetta looking good:

Image

C5 “Wagon wheels” are super popular in the Audi/VW stance world thanks to great availability, low price and spacer/adapter friendly high offsets. Double stagger works well on this A4.

Image

Still under construction, Z06 corvette wheels set off this S10.Image

C6 corvette wheels on this black on black Chevy S10 looking good.

Image

Corvette ZR1 wheels on this Oldsmobile grille swapped S10 sitting fat and flush on some wide meats.Image

Import Alliance Atlanta 4/21/13 v.4: Cool stuff

So I’m way behind posting up general pics, so enjoy a random mix of cool cars that showed up!

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Import Alliance Atlanta 4/21/13 v.3: The VIPS

Some of these are less than traditional, but all have a VIP flavor!

Acura CL painted Laguna blue from a E46 M3, rocking BMW 7 Series wheels:Image

Non traditional wheel color choice, but it works on this stanced Acura RL:Image

Luxury Abstract wheels work wonders on this blacked out toucan-beaked Acura TL:Image

This mask was on the dash of the red-wheeled Acura TL above!Image

Good looking Honda Accord on some wheels I don’t know the name of:Image

Luxury Abstract mesh makes another appearance on this blacked out  Honda Accord:
Image

Black not your style? How about white on white like this Honda Accord?Image

The BMW 7 series wheels are very popular for VIP on a budget due to their availability and wide 19″ sizes, as shown in chrome on this Infiniti M45:Image

Some really nice custom work on the back bumper of this Infiniti M45:Image

Burgundy paint and bronze lips make this wheel choice pop on this G35:Image

Infiniti M45’s are a staple in the VIP ethos of tuning, and it’s not hard to see why!Image

G35’s are making their mark too, as this example on Weds Kranze Bazreia proves!Image

The lighting wasn’t very good in this shot, but BMW 7 series wheels make a third appearance. Check out the JDM front bumper on this Infiniti M45.Image

G37 looking aggressive!Image

Another Infiniti M45:Image

Another, with a ton of custom bodywork:Image

G37 coupe rolling through:Image

Mustang Cobra wheels work well on this Lexus GS300:Image

The blacked out accents make this Lexus GS430 look menacing:Image

Some rarely seen Work VS-MX on this Lexus SC300:Image

Simple styling and color matching sets this Lexus GS430 off!Image

BMW 7 series wheels on this Nissan 300ZX give it a little VIP style!Image

Still more to come from Import Alliance!

Import Alliance Atlanta 4/21/13 v.2: Honda Civics

The bread and butter of any good Import Alliance meet: the Honda Civics!

Clean and simple, a good example of the popular style right now.

Image

Not quite sure why the fender is a different color, but I’m a big fan of color matched wheels!Image

Another simple Civic: Drop, stylish well fitted wheels, done!Image

I was digging the front bumper setup on this EG coupe!Image

Shaved bay, chromed components, white letter tires, and more.. tons of stuff going on here.Image

Another EG showing how a shaved bay should be done.Image

Enkei’s new Apache wheel, well represented on this EF hatch.Image

More on the car this engine bay is attached to coming up soon!Image

I like this shade of blue, and the BBS RS’s aren’t bad either!Image

Some nice details on the EK Coupe: 5 lug swap, Prelude wheels (with the rears going the wrong way) Projectors, etc.

Image

Stance done wrong: too much height and needs either more camber or a narrower tire.Image

Stance done right!Image

I have a friend who just bought a Civic like this:Image

Anyone know what wheels are on this super-dumped EK sedan?Image

Not a fan of the hood bra or front camber, but otherwise really nice!Image

This thing had some seriously tiny tires on it! I think they were 165/45R15’s!Image

Yet another example of the less-is-more style.Image

Mugen edition Civic looking mean!Image

Look, twins!

Image

I know there’s not much done, but I like how aggressive this one looks, I like the color and it was so clean!

Image

Another set of wheels I can’t identify! Also note the Civic RR style bumper.Image

The JDM converted rear looks so much better than ours!Image

K swap and J Line wheels set this Sunburst orange EK off right!Image

Some like it, some hate it, but either way the Rat look is making an impact on our scene.Image

Four red EG’s all together.Image

Lower it! Drag DR27 low offsets on this one too.Image

It’s amazing what a drop and a good set of wheels will do! Why don’t more people mod beige cars?

Image

Yep. Pennies.

Image

I think this guy had the worst luck of anyone I’d seen at the show. Busted oil pan, cracked wheel, damaged quarter panel, and cracked windshield.Image

Teal and blue: 1 of a kind.Image

Okay, maybe 2 of a kind!Image

XXR 527’s making an appearance on this gunmetal EK.Image

The stance on this thing is spot on. I love the color, the wheels, the fitment  the whole package just works for me.Image

Steven Campbell, take notes!Image

White on white Civic peeking out of the line of stanced hellaflush rides!Image

Got camber?

Image

J lines again!

Image

Gold on black, a timeless combo!Image

Like K swaps?

Image

Pretty nice tuck going on here!Image

Much more to come!

Bonneville salt flats, v.2: MORE SPEED

Another round of unlikely heroes of the Salt:

Starting this off is the Mitsubishi Evo’s older brother, the Galant VR4.

Image

Opel GT looking ready to attack!

Image

This rarely seen gem is an old Saab 99.

Image

Another Saab, the Sonett.

Image

Even a Studebaker Avanti came out!

Image

Another Studebaker, getting a push. This is typically due to a combination of engine tuning, cooling systems and tall gears.Image

One of the great things about Bonneville is the sheer variety of vehicles that run. Check out this Subaru Justy!

Image

Can you guess what this is? A Triumph Spitfire in all it’s aerodynamically modified glory.

Edit: Thanks to Bob Smith for the correction, this is actually a Triumph GT6+ which is a bit different than a Spitfire!  Image

Volvo’s can run too. Just ask this awesome Volvo P1800.

Image

New cars are developed every year by manufactures to often prove a point of technology. VW entered a Jetta Hybrid last year, and did pretty well.Image

The Jetta hybrid’s distant relation, the Kharman Ghia.

Greg Leone’s School Bus car hauler and Gymkhana Nissan S13

In response to Alex F’s comment asking for more info on the school bus converted car hauler in my post about Camouflaged cars, here ya go!

Does anyone remember Greg Leone from the MTV show “True Life: I’m a Street Racer”? Well this is his short bus…

Image

Image

Image

Link below is his twitter, with tons of pics on his build progress and fabrication work!

A pic of both car and bus in an earlier stage of their lives:

And how about his car? This thing is sick! Luxury Abstract wheels, S15 front end conversion, military themed details, widebody fenders, cantilevered suspension and much more!

Import Alliance Atlanta 4/21/13 v.1: Trucks

Certainly not the expected first post I’m sure, but considering I have a blogger following me called “Truck and Ute”, I figured I’d post some for him! His blog below:

http://truckandute.wordpress.com/

BMW X6M:

Image

Slammed GMC Jimmy on sick wheels:Image

Not the biggest fan of the flares/fenders and bedside on this Datsun 620, but they are pretty well done:

ImageImage

This Datsun 620 has been all over the internet. I should do a post on this thing sometime! It’s got a lot of neat design touches and engineering.Image

Big Ford F-100 lurking:Image

Lifted Ford F-250 cruised around for a while:Image

Should have taken more pics of this lowered CRV on Work Meister reps.Image

Another Honda SUV, the Element, this one was on some clean polished wheels:Image

Big whale of an Infiniti FX45 looking good lowered on some mesh wheels:ImageImageImage

Clean Grand Cherokee SRT8:Image

How about a dirty Toyota Land Cruiser?Image

Toyota Pickup, N50 chassis lowered on Mitsubishi Starion wheels:Image

This clown was trying to do donuts in this litfted Tacoma… open diff plus tall ride height does not a drift make.Image

Totoyta Pickup, N30 generation. This guy has been on Stanceworks with a lot of pics of this truck. I like these trucks a lot. Image

A few more Toyota Pickups, N40 chassis, and check out the turbo setup on the last one!ImageImageImageImage
