GE8 Fit parts for sale

Some examples of the fitment of the wheels and tires.

Wheels are Rota D2 17×8.5 et48. Rear has extended ARP wheel studs and 8mm spacers which makes the rear track width match the front. These fit at this height without rolling the fenders. Tires are 205/40-17 Falken Ziex ZE512.

Detail pics of each wheel, showing the one that is currently curb rashed and needs touched up. Also shows how the tires off the rear got a little rubbed down from the rear fenders. Have a fifth matching tire with half tread.

My cars: 1989 Mazda 323 (the first one)

I ended up having three Mazda 323’s. This was the first one, purchased for $500 when I was dirt poor. Spray painted wheels and faux carbon fiber spray painted hood, along with a 323 GTX grille were the only changes to the exterior. Inside I had a set of GTX seats, a Momo steering wheel and an aftermarket shift knob. Oh, and my portable cd player velcroed to the dash. Best thing about this car were the brand new Tokico sports shocks I installed because they were discontinued and cheaper than anything else I could find. Don’t worry, everything was better after this.

Nopi Nationals 2006

Decided to dig through the archives and post some old stuff for awhile. Enjoy!DSCN0340

Honda Civic with old school hood graphics at their finest.

DSCN0276

Nissan S13 looking quite period correct for its time.

Civic 502

This wild Honda Civic drove in pulling a trailer. I can’t imagine what this must have been like to drive at full chat.

Beetle3

Lexus GS headlights on a VW Beetle with some “interesting” bodywork. 2006, folks.

Civic5

This Civic blew me away in 2006 and it is still breaking necks today. I should do a feature on it sometime as the craftsmanship is amazing.

Altima Convertible

Nissan Altima convertible… ooookkkkaaayyyy…

A4_2

This Audi was one of the rare cars actually on point.

Supra27

This Supra was another. Rear fitment is a little off but other wise pretty well done.

Wrangler3

The Fuzion Tires chop top Jeep Wrangler on some import-tuner style wheels in a eye-catching grape purple paint job.

SL2_2

I thought this was the cleanest car at Nopi. A Saturn SL2, which had every inch gone over and either upgraded, or refinished to an exceptional level of quality.

Skyline

I didn’t even know how awesome this was, only that I’d never seen a Skyline like this KPGC10 before.

Solstice

NOS sponsored Pontiac Solstice.

R33

Another well done contestant, a gorgeous R33 Skyline on gold BBS wheels.

IS300

Widebodys were everywhere and rarely looked truly “right”, like shown on this Lexus IS300.

Jetta8

Boser hoods were still all the rage in the euro circles, like this MK3 Jetta demonstrates.

Firebird2

Pontiac Firebird on Corvette wheels was a bit of a fish out of water among all the imports.

DSCN1158

R32 Skyline on Nismo wheels and wearing a RB Motoring banner. Wonder what happened to this car after Motorex went under?

G6

GM brought a bunch of modded vehicles every year. In 2006 this banana yellow Pontiac G6 was one of them *shudder*.

DSCN1058

Speaking of shuddering, how many of you would daily this wild Lexus?

Push me-pull you Acura Integra… Integra’s?

Nissan Sentra with chameleon paint and a Pulsar GTI-R hood.

DSCN0651

I still think this was a game changer in the Lexus SC game. NOS sponsored drift style, don’t know if it ever competed or was just a show pony.

Daihatsu pickup. Ridiculous is about the only word I can think of to describe this.

DSCN0431

Last but not least. I believe this was packing decent firepower underhood but some questionable graphics on the exterior.

Pro Touring comes in many flavors

Regular frequenters of this site will know I’m a huge fan of the oddballs, the underdogs, the outcasts if you will of the automotive world. Here are a few american cars that don’t usually garner much attention that have been hit eith the Pro Touring stick with fabulous results.

427 powered Mercury Cougar on Halibrands? Yes please, can I have some more?

µ08E048

I know it’s just a digital render but I really dig it. Anyone know if this was ever built?

For the Mopar fans, how do you like this 1968 Plymouth Valiant?

Here’s something you never see modified, an AMC Concord! Those Shelby Razor wheels look quite appropriate on this Vader-esque coupe.

I love the color on this 1977 Buick Century.

Sema: Chevy C10

I love the 67-72 and 73-87 C10 trucks, and I know I’m not alone. Lifted, lowered, rat rod or restored, show or race? Which is best? I’ll let you decide:

1991 Chevy S10: Timmy the truck

Just a simple 4.3 V6 shortbed S10 with a finish only mother nature could create. It’s dropped a few inches on springs and spindles up front and leaves and blocks out back. The wheels are late eighties Caprice and the center caps are from a ’70’s C10. The grille came from the sorta-rare Oldsmobile Bravada. This was a fun little truck and came out just how I wanted when I was done.

I will build at least two more some day.

RTimmy the truck (12)

Probably my favorite picture of Timmy.

RTimmy the truck (13) RTimmy the truck (14)

Love the Bravada grille! It reminds me of the late ’70’s Pontiac Firebird.  RTimmy the truck (17)

Timmy did work too, hauling a bed full of stuff on a regular basis. This load was towards th end of a 300 mile day, and consisted of 4 nascar wheels and tires, 2 loose nascar tires, a pair of Ikea wardrobes and a good sized cabinet (along with a bunch of smaller odds and ends.)

RTimmy the truck (29)

I tried to run a set of Corvette ZR1 wheels but the fronts were more of a challenge than I had time to sort out. Still, the 315 width rear tires on the 17×11 wheels looked right tucked up under the fenders.

Sema: Suit and Tie edition

“VIP” has grown as a style from the days of big black, mostly stock-bodied Japanese sedans slammed on static suspension and big expensive wheels. Nowadays, pretty much any color and any make is fair game, as well as crazy body kits and loud details.

The new, “Imported from Detroit” Chrysler 300C looks natural dropped on flashy wheels.

The new Hyundai Genesis sedan sitting mean in a dark grey is another example of the new VIP.

Another Infiniti M45. What are your thoughts on these wheels?

Sema: Acura and Honda

This year the domestics were definitely more prevalent than the imports. That being said, Acuras and Hondas:

I was really surprised to see this clean JDM swapped Acura Integra on beautiful Mugen MF10 wheels and powered by an equally gorgeous gold-plated ITB shod K swap.
